Hakai's day form looks a lot like his human form (so his canon appearance minus horns). He keeps his fanged canine teeth and two purple pointy dog ears stick out of his head very close to where his horns used to be. He still has a tail, but it's much smaller now, looking a lot like the stubby tail he has in his travel form. Thankfully it's easy to cover up.
🐾Just suddenly a giant dog: Hakai gets all his physical changes on day one, and honestly that's fine by him. This includes a dog head, full on paws for both his hands and feet, a tail, the works. Because he's based on a komainu, he sports a huge fluffy mane around his neck, while his tail and eyebrows take on a similar look. Although they all kinda look a lot like the kaima flame he used to wear back home, they are all 100% curly fur and are soft and safe to touch.
🐾Post-transformation fatigue: Much to his dismay, Hakai still has a human form he has to change back to during the day, or at least when the sun hits him. This leaves him feeling drained and he's likely to pass out on the spot if he isn't already sleeping. Because of how inconvenient this all is, it does nothing to change his mind that his human form is weak and pathetic, and yet at the same time he does nothing to avoid the sun because his human form is still closer to his original appearance. Either way, it causes him to start going nocturnal and the earliest he'd ever be up is around noon at best.
🐾Longer arms: Hakai's arms are inhumanly long, although it might be difficult to tell right away since he's always folding them. They're very useful for running on all fours and are definitely not used to launch himself into things.
🐾Pack instinct: Although he was already on a mission to make friends, Hakai's friendship standards may have broadened without him realizing it, making it easier to buddy up. Especially with other werewolves or even monsters that might look a little like werewolves. Those he does make friends with he might grow protective over, and he may be prone to seeking out revenge on people who have wronged his pals. Because his ego is the size of a mountain, Hakai always considers himself the leader of his pack. The only person who could change his mind is his master and she's not even here.
🐾Sharpened senses: How did he not have this when he already had a full on dog face? I don't know, but now he does. Hakai's sense of hearing and smell are way stronger now and he can even follow scents.
🐾Jumping: Hakai's legs are strong enough to allow him to leap onto rooftops and small buildings, getting him all the free coffee he wants in the process. Also great for kicking people in the face.
🐾Toxic bite: Pretty much what it says, Hakai's bite can cause a fatal infection if not treated right away. Mostly effective on humans, varies on other monsters.
🐾Weakness to silver and wolfsbane: Direct contact with either is incredibly painful, while anything internal (ingesting, getting shot) is downright fatal.
🐾High emotion transformation: If worked up enough, Hakai can partially or fully transform during the day, for about an hour. Considering he is literally living anger, this might be a problem if he doesn't work on it. The longer he stays transformed, the more strain it puts on his body.
🐾Travel form: Whenever he feels like it, Hakai can transform into a tiny komainu, pretty much turning him into a kaima-colored Komasan. This form is much faster, but also much more vulnerable. So it's not surprising that he hates it.
🐾Hunger: Hakai needs to consume human meat at least once a month before he'll start to lose control. Because he's under strict orders not to harm people, this is usually accomplished by going to the soup kitchen or eating other people's kills. That doesn't mean the urge to hunt and kill is own food isn't there...
Yokai Medal: Hakai's medal is like a small green coin that has a stylized picture of himself on it. (His original self, not his ryslig form). The medal lacks any summoning abilities, but if it's put into one of the toy watches from the Bavan museum gift shop, it'll still play the kaima summoning song. Originally given to Chiaki Nanami, it's been returned to him since her disappearance.
